WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A LASH LIFT

A lash lift is a gentle and low maintenance treatment that suits many people, but like all beauty treatments, it may not be suitable for everyone. Before every lash lift appointment it is important to assess your natural lashes and eye condition to make sure a lash lift is suitable for you. Here are some situations where a lash lift may not be recommended, or where we may suggest waiting before having the treatment.

1. Very short or very weak natural lashes.

A lash lift works by lifting your natural lashes from the root. If your natural lashes are very short, very fine or very weak, the result may be very subtle. In some cases, we may recommend waiting and focusing on lash health first, or considering eyelash extensions if you are looking for more visible length and volume.

2. Recent eye surgery or eye conditions

If you have recently had eye surgery, eye infections, or any medical conditions affecting your eyes, it is important to wait until your eyes have fully recovered before getting a lash lift. Your eye health is always the priority, and treatments should only be performed when your eyes are healthy and comfortable.

3. Very sensitive eyes or allergies

If you have very sensitive eyes or a history of allergic reactions to beauty products, a patch test may be recommended before your lash lift appointment. This helps ensure that the products used are suitable for you.

4. Damaged or over processed lashesry sensitive eyes or allergies

If your natural lashes are currently damaged from over processing, lash extensions, or frequent use of lash curlers, it may be better to allow your lashes time to recover before getting a lash lift. Healthy natural lashes always produce the best lash lift results.

5. Pregnancy Considerations

Some clients choose to avoid lash treatments during the early stages of pregnancy due to increased sensitivity. While many clients still get lash lifts during pregnancy, results can sometimes vary due to hormonal changes. If you are pregnant, it is best to inform your lash technician before your appointment so we can discuss whether the treatment is suitable for you.

If you are not sure whether you are suitable for a lash lift, we can assess your natural lashes and recommend the most suitable treatment for you. Some clients may be more suited to eyelash extensions, while others may achieve beautiful results with a lash lift.
